Allied Bakeries Belfast Strike Update
R.E: INDUSTRIAL ACTION SUSPENSION AT ALLIED BAKERIES – ORBY LINK
Pickets at Allied Bakeries Belfast have temporarily suspended strike action to facilitate a ballot on an improved offer by management, which was made just over 12 hours into continuous all out strike action.
Brave workers from both the Bakers Food and Allied Workers Union and Unite the Union stood their ground, with a firm “nothing in nothing out” approach to bakery vehicles in freezing wet conditions, in order to win a decent pay rise. The powerful actions of our members on the picket line have demonstrated the strength workers have when they stand united and both Unions were honoured to see such courage and passion from everyone involved.
United we stand, united we win!
